Oct 2011: Greenstreets Client finalist in Repak Recycling Awards

Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals T/A Wyeth Nutritional were recently shortlisted for the Best Packaging Prevention Initiative as part of the Repak Recycling Awards for 2011.

Having worked with Greenstreets for a number of years to ensure that they were compliant under the Waste Management (Packaging) Regulations, Pfizer recently undertook a project aimed at limiting the impact of their operations on the environment. One of the initiatives implemented was a packaging prevention programme designed to reduce the amount of packaging being distributed by the company on their products in the Irish and international markets.

Despite eventually losing out on the award to Arvato Digital Services, the results of the project have been extremely beneficial for both the company’s bottom line and their environmental performance.
