Food Waste Regulations The new Waste Management (Food Waste) Regulations 2009 come into effect from 1st July 2010 in Ireland. The new Regulations are designed to promote the segregation and beneficial use of food waste arising in the commercial sector.
The Regulations are intended to impose obligations on the main generators of food waste including shops, supermarkets, forecourts, state buildings where food is prepared, restaurants and cafes, hot food outlets, canteens, hotels and large guest houses. |

GRIPS UK LaunchGreenstreets recently launched its integrated packaging management software tool GRIPS in the United Kingdom. The tool was developed in-house and is designed to simplify the preparation and submission of packaging reports.
It maintains control of all data onsite and ensures minimal disruption to core activities, while at the same time alerting firms to the potential cost savings that may be achievable whilst managing their waste. |
