Company Profile

Greenstreets was founded in 2000, initially to help organisations meet their obligations imposed by waste packaging regulations. As European waste legislation evolved, Greenstreets expanded its consulting portfolio to provide advice on a range of waste streams including Waste Electronics and Electrical Equipment (WEEE), End of Life Vehicles, Waste Tyres and Waste Batteries. Greenstreets helps almost 200 Irish clients each year to fulfil their compliance obligations

In late 2006, the company's founder, David Darcy established its Australian division in Melbourne, to coincide with the introduction of new waste regulations in that country. This division has grown quickly and includes a number of top brands in its client portfolio. Greenstreets also developed a new calculation and reporting tool to help reduce the workload associated with compliance reporting as well as improving the quality and accuracy of the data.

In 2007 the company developed the Tyre Recovery Activity Compliance Scheme (TRACS), which it runs on behalf of the Irish tyre industry. It was also the year that Greenstreets established its Energy and Carbon division to provide specialist advice to organisations wishing to reduce energy costs and carbon outputs.

In 2009, Greenstreets launched the latest version of its compliance reporting software - GRIPS, which allows companies link packaging specifications to their existing Accounts or ERP systems. This simplifies the entire calculation process and enables firms to produce their compliance reporting requirements in minutes. GRIPS is now  used by clients in Ireland, UK and Australia.

Finally in 2010, Greenstreets established its UK Data Service, in conjunction with Wastepack Limited, one of UK's leading Compliance Schemes. This provides obligated firms with the choice of either outsourcing their entire packaging waste returns process, or to utilise GRIPS as a single point solution to manage this in-house.

Greenstreets has consolidated its position as a leading environmental consulting firm, providing advice and assistance to a range of public and private organistaions across Ireland, UK and Australia.
